Uganda’s corn production climbed 50
percent in the two years through 2010, the country’s Agriculture
Ministry said.
Corn output in the East African nation rose to 1.8 million metric tons last year from 1.2 million tons in 2008, the ministry said in an advertisement published in the Kampala-based New Vision newspaper today. It didn’t give production data for 2009.
