TWO Ugandans, Ernest Wasake and Sharon Salmon Nalukenge, are representing the country in the sixth season of the television reality show Big Brother Africa.

The show was launched on Sunday in Johannesburg, South Africa, under the tagline Big Brother Africa Amplified.

Wasake, 28, is an employee of Media Analyst, an advertising and public relations company in Kampala, while Salmon, 25, is a singer with the Obsessions.

The two will share living space for 91 days with 24 others from 13 African countries, while cameras and microphones relay their interaction to television viewers across Africa, via M-Net, a Dstv channel.

The housemates will continuously vote to eliminate one another until the last one standing walks away with $200,000 (about sh470m).

This is the sixth time Uganda is giving a shot at this competition, with the previous five winners coming from Zambia (Cherise Makubale), Tanzania (Richard Bezuidenhout), Angola (Ricco Venancio), Nigeria (Kevin Chuwang) and Nigeria (Uti Nwachukwu).

Uganda’s previous housemates are Gaetano Kagwa, Maureen Namatovu, Morris Mugisha, Hannigton Kavuma and Philbert Okure.
